The Lehigh Valley Engineering Council (www.LVEngineer.org) will kick off National Engineers' Week activities with their annual banquet on Friday, February 27th at the Holiday inn Conference Center at Route 100 in Breinigsville, PA. The LVPSPE will recognize the Engineer of the Year and Young Engineer of the Year recipients during the banquet.
The expected featured speaker for the evening is Komandur Sunder Raj presenting the topic Energy Resources & the Power Industry – Where Are We Headed? Mr. Sunder Raj is the founder and owner of Power & Energy Systems Services specializing in maximizing asset value and knowledge management for the power industry. He has forty-seven years’ experience providing consulting engineering, training and software development services for fossil and nuclear power plants. He developed a power plant performance monitoring tool for performance monitoring, secondary cycle analysis, capacity loss investigations and conducting training. He has presented and published over 40 papers on fossil and nuclear power plant performance.

The evening will begin at 6:00 with a cocktail hour with cash bar. This will be followed by dinner at 7:00. The meal choices are Chicken Marsala with mushrooms, Flat Iron Steak with shallot herb sauce, Pan Seared Salmon with teriyaki vegetables or Roasted Vegetable Napoleon. The Awards Ceremony will be at 8:00 immediately followed by the speaker.
Early Registration is $35 per attendee or $20 per student attendee. If payment is received after February 17th the price per attendee is $45. Please consider donating $15 to sponsor a student. Please note that all no-shows will be billed $45 (actual meal cost).
