The Lehigh Valley Engineering Council (www.LVEngineer.org) will kick off National Engineers' Week activities with their annual banquet on Friday, February 26th at the Holiday inn Conference Center at Route 100 in Breinigsville, PA. The LVPSPE will recognize the Engineer of the Year and Young Engineer of the Year recipients during the banquet.
The expected featured speaker for the evening is Andrei G. Jablokow, PhD. He will be presenting Think Like an Engineer, Speak Like a Leader - The Ins and Outs of High Performance Engineering Leadership. Engineering management done correctly balances the needs of technical requirements, growing people, and keeping an eye on the business. As an engineer, technical lead, engineering manager, or engineering executive, your ability to build trust and influence is key to your success and the success of the people you lead. Whether it's a functional team, a team of managers, or a project team, people get more done when they work together effectively and harmoniously. That's not as easy as it sounds. Almost all engineering leaders struggle with what role they play at some point or another. On the other hand, successful engineering leaders deliver results, carry out difficult tasks, and make better decisions. This program will show you how to leverage your ability to think as an engineer in the context of performance leadership and help you move to the next level, no matter where you are right now.

The evening will begin at 6:00 with a cocktail hour with cash bar. This will be followed by dinner at 7:00. The meal choices are Roast Chicken Breast topped with Caramelized Onions & Brie, Herb Encrusted Sliced Tenderloin with Red Wine Demi-Glace, Pan Seared Salmon accompanied by Asian Noodle Salad & Napa Cabbage Wasabi Slaw, and a Chef's Choice Seasonal Vegetarian Meal. The Awards Ceremony will be at 8:00 immediately followed by the speaker.
Early Registration is $35 per attendee or $20 per student attendee. If payment is received after February 10th the price per attendee is $45. Please consider donating $15 to sponsor a student. Please note that all no-shows will be billed $45 (actual meal cost). Remember to qualify for the Early Registration price payment needs to be received before end of day on February 10th.
